This just in: On February 17, 2009 President Obama signed the American Recovery and Re-investment Act of 2009 into law. This new bill tremendously improves upon the 2008 bill by increasing tax credits and removing “cost caps.” The long awaited change allows you to take a 30 percent tax credit off the installed cost of various renewable energy measures including but not limited to a geothermal system and a wind turbine.
